I've never actually played any of the Stadium games. Never owned an N64

The Trainer School in XY should be like Earl's Academy, with lectures, quizzes, and tests you can do. Having something like the library would be nice as well.

This is the best idea I have read in a while, and I can't believe the thought never entered my mind.

I loved Earl's Training Academy.

C. It taught me that ice beam was more powerful on Lapras than thunderbolt was and such. So, it taught me me about STAB, weather, items, and even how the damage multiplier worked.

Deny.

Stadium 1 did much more. It forces you to realize that some Pokemon are better than others, the value of good switches, and to look for optimal moves and optimal variety of moves (Even though in RBY that amounted to putting Body Slam and Thunder Wave on everything, the principle suck). I learned a lot of the basic mechanics through old strategy guides or experience.

Earl's Academy was wonderful and should definitely return in some form, though. It promotes smart thinking and explains mechanics in a clear way, and lord knows we need a lot more of that. That and it gives the series actual target audience a helping hand in understand why the later game might be destroying them.

I learned about a few new mechanics, but I mostly learned about stuff from Azure Heights.
