Considering I buy most games on day one, it would probably be a day 1 purchase. I really would like to go back to Hoenn. --- "Whoa! Heads up, detecting high levels of space chickens." "No! Space chickens are a surgeon's worst nightmare."
I never really understood the Gen III hate, though the biggest reasons I've seen is the amount of water areas (the majority of which are entirely optional, therefore more exploration, so I liked it) And incompatibility with Gen I and II (which was because those games were simply too primitive to connect to the GBA). It brought a lot of new things to the series that I liked, such as: Abilities, A drastically improved EV system A lot of great new Pokemon designs and moves A plethora of the "rare" Pokemon types (Dragon, Ghost, Steel, and Dark) The first time the title legendary had story significance Double Battles Berry farming Contests A geographically diverse region The Battle Frontier Secret Bases A dash button A lot of new, useful Pokeballs (Kurt's in Gen II were way too specific) and several others. --- Other M is the One More Day of Metroid http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4014/5138578909_05b321131a_z.jpg
