Because it doesn't overcentralize the metagame. People don't have to make sure their teams have moves to deal with Stealth Rock to avoid having a huge disadvantage.

Teams that either didn't deal with it or didn't use it had an enormous disadvantage. Stealth rock and sand storm were both extremely centralizing to the meta. Every time someone switches, their pokemon loses on average 12.5% HP. That's 100% HP after 8 switches. Assuming it was used on turn 1, stealth rock will chunk at least 62.5% total of your opponent's HP (5 pokemon just enter the field losing 12.5% HP each).

I'm not saying stealth rock should be banned, but it definitely centralized the meta. Hell, entry hazards are so strong that Roserade and Frosslass are banned from gen V UU on the PO server in an attempt to nerf them.

Why are people still crying abut Stealth Rock?

Because it is the single most unfair move in the game?
Even Double Team is fairer; at least it's a universal TM and doesn't discriminate by type.

EDIT: No one can shut up about how bad Charizard is.

We get it, he has bad stats and a 4x Weakness to Rock.

Now stop prancing around about it like your entire life worth depends on whether or not people like Charizard.

Honestly, I rarely see any topics that are about Charizard hate. Most of the hate happens in the threads that try to discuss how usable Charizard is or its typing.

Most of the mascot Pokemon suck at Comp for some reason , Pikachu for example has awful defense

The mascots are typically pre-evos or are restricted to bland "pinch" abilities that don't really do much to help them.

Yeah, usually the starters who are in top comp are based on their hidden abilities.

...I'd check your math. 12.5% EACH of 5 does not add up to 62.5% of the TOTAL. >_>

It'd be 62.5% of ONE if it was the same Pokemon that got hit each time. Otherwise, it's 10.4% of the TOTAL HP.

Correct. I'm surprised this wasn't pointed out earlier.
