Has anyone tried Showdown's Tier Shift metagame?

Basically, it's a mode that works like this;

Pokemon in UU get a boost of 5 to each stat.
Pokemon in RU get a boost of 10 to each stat.
Pokemon in NU get a boost of 15 to each stat.

I'm thinking of giving it a try. What's it like?

Does something like Vulpix count as a NU Pokemon?

Hell, how does LC Pokemon in general count?

Just checks Vulpix's Stats. Lol, rather stick with Ninetales.

Also there's tons of solid NU Pokemon that are usable in today's OU metagame. Like Volbeat, Victreebel, Stoutland, Shiftry, Scolipede, Sawsbuck, Riolu, Huntail, Gorebyss, Golurk (?), Exeggutor, Ditto, etc

I wonder how people will now prepare for these guys.

Is that how it works? I was wondering. I played one game in Tier Shift mode using my average NU team of Golem, Haunter, Butterfree, Lapras, Raticate and Machoke and I dominated a standard OU team with Ferrothorn etc. I didn't know about the stat boosts at the time so I just put it down to the other guy being terrible at the game.
