GSC proves that Yellow had the canonical Red

So that means Red gets Pikachu, Blue gets Eevee.
Not changing this sig until we get a new main series Tales game released on a Nintendo console in the US

Red should get Charmander because he's red; Blue should get Squirtle because he's Blue. =P

The canon starters are what has been defined in the manga. That means:

Red: Bulbasaur
Green (or Blue in America): Charmander
Blue (or Green in America): Squirtle

So that's that really.

The manga shows Red getting Bulbasaur with Pikachu being obtained in the Viridian Forest.

I voted Pikachu and Eevee

I dont remember Blue's team in GSC, but pretty sure he had an Eeveelution, or all of them. Red, of course, had Pikachu. Which seems to me to suggest that Pokemon Yellow is the most canon

Third game always seems to be canon

Manga&anime=non-canon. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

Because the manga is stated to be exactly how the creator intended the Pokemon world to be. Therefore, the manga is canon.

I never heard that about the manga

And I forgot. I got tired of Soul Silver before getting to Blue <_<;

What a pointless poll.
I shook hands with Pope Francis. I am enlightenment. I am also the only true Pokemon fan.
