Could you imagine? I think the only thing that they could do to mess the game up further would be quadruple battles.
If your future self hasn't come back in time to tell you not to do it...
Then it's not a bad decision...

Charizard is now Fire/Flying/Ice.
I'm not easily impressed; I'm usually oblivious to whatever's in front of me.
Stunfisk is the epitome of monstrous majestic legendary creatures that spew fire.

Suddenly a crap ton of pokemon have an added Dragon typing.

Charizard, Lapras, Gyarados, Tyranitar, Aerodactyl, Scrafty, etc.

But the fact is that it would be ruthlessly unbalanced. Solar Power Charizard in the sun uses a Physical Fire/Flying move on a Dry Skin Parasect.

4 * 4 * 2.25 (double STAB) * (whatever the Dry Skin bonus is) * 1.5 (Sun) * Solar Power bonus = 54 * Dry Skin * Solar Power.

Overpowered.
For those of you starting topics about the PS4, there's a PS4 board:

Yeah... I'd probably quit Pokemon entirely if these happened.

Solar Power is meaningless for a Physical move.

What makes you certain dual-typed moves would use the same damage multipliers?
