By get rid of I mean provide a way to obtain the mons without needing to trade.
It was a neat idea in RB, but now it's just annoying as they add so many cool pokes that you can only get by trade-evolving.
For example, they could make it so that Kadabra evolves immediately upon trade but also evolves naturally at level 30 or even 40 somthing. --- When the Tomb Raider reboot was released, the entire gaming community suddenly decided having a well-written MC was the only important aspect in a video game.
It was a fun novelty back in gen 1, but now it's just sort of obnoxious. There was something else I was gonna say but I forgot. --- THAT'S MISS HOME ROWED TO YOU bubble bubble bubble pop bubble bubble pop pop
Yes. I still have nightmares of being trolled by in-game trades for evos, like the haunter that holds an everstone -_-. Knowing i could never get those evo's back then because people that are willing to use link cables n' stuff, were kinda too far inbetween to find --- http://i.imgur.com/ZKnlH.jpg -my girlfriend <3 http://i.imgur.com/JN9dp.jpg -I love her so much ^_^
The best course of action that doesn't completely change how the Pokemon evolves/retconning it so that it can also evolve when it reaches [x] level would be to introduce a Link Cable item that can be used like a evolutionary stone. Trading the Pokemon and evolving them normally would still work.

Implying that level 40+ evolutions are unusual. --- http://meta289.deviantart.com/#/d4j1eby Fact: Things are so much better when taken at face value.
