Karen of the Elite Four objects to your competitive tiers!

Karen is a dumb perra who couldn't win a battle to save her Umbreon's worthless life.

Don't tiers technically make it easier to win with your favorites?

This is not an argument against tiers. It's an argument of how the game mechanics are actually the opposite of "you can win with any Pokemon as long as you work with them".

Starting with IVs, competitively, any Pokemon with less then 31 IVs in everything is trash from the beginning and that will never change, EVER no matter what you do.

With base stats, it's not that every Pokemon needs to the Uber or OU, but difference in Pokemon strength is too far apart for fully evolved Pokemon. It's actually getting wider and less Pokemon viable as the series goes on since the new Pokemon are getting stronger and stronger making more Pokemon from past game worse and worse comparatively.

Technically, you can win with any pokemon if your team's strategy is strong enough(aka "working with them"). Sure, if you take six pokemon that can't support one another in anyway at all, you'll likely lose, but the same can be said if its a team of six ubers. It might take alot more work, and some luck, but its not untrue.

"Any pokemon with less than 31 IVs in everything is trash"
Now its just sad that people think that way. Having less than perfect IVs in no way makes a pokemon unusable. The only time a good pokemon with less than perfect ivs is truly inferior is if it faces a pokemon of the same species, running the same moveset. A pokemon with 0 IVs in everything can potentially be useful. You just have to find that potential instead of writing it off as "trash".

As for pokemon getting stronger, I'll agree with you there.
