in the game series, which do you prefer for the Pokemon themselves, them having the 3D models featured in Pokedex 3D Pro, or the 2D Sprites featured in Gens I-V?

Personally, I prefer the sprites (though I don't hate the 3D models by any means). Reason being that to me the 3D models for pokemon (or any creature in any videogame that uses it) just look too plastic-y for my tastes.

don't get me wrong, I don't care if the main series ever uses 3D models or not, I just prefer the sprites.

My opinions on Mass Effect in a nutshell: ME1- great, ME2- masterpiece, ME3- great but underrated. The post-extended cut ending is just fine, but a little weak.

Neither? Both are good for different reasons.

Well, the animated sprites in Gen V looked very pixelated (or however you spell that) and a few look incomplete (Lugia doesn't have eyes in his backsprite, Rayquaza has one tooth, etc).

The 3D models look fantastic though. I didn't even know the 3DS could make something look THAT good...

I'm not easily impressed; I'm usually oblivious to whatever's in front of me.

I'll need more things to base 3D models on.

Art direction is more important than the amount of dimensions.

From what the series has shown? I prefer the new models to any previous sprites. If they keep up that kind of quality I'm all for it.

3D models. Gen V proved trying to animate 2D sprites is a pixelated mess.

I don't like the models used in Pokedex 3D, but I prefer the Cel-Shaded ones in X and Y to the sprites.
Saying that, the models could be the same, just with different shaders.

Wait, the models in XY, or the models in Pokedex 3D pro? Because I prefer the 3D models in XY to sprites, but the other 3D models look like garbage.

3D models. I love how they are not animated cardboard cutouts anymore. Plus the cel-shading makes them feel like 3D versions of the DS game sprites(if that sounded right no?).
