I just love when people can't handle a fair loss

seriously a good player can handle earth quake.
1.try to use at least 3 pokemon who either resist it or are immune
2.use items like air ballon
3. he actually did this but sturdy helps
4.optional use destiny bonders like froslass

Yeah, there are lot of counters to it.

In fact here's another similar one

Said nothing. I hate people who leave when their strategy is not working for them, they need to be able to adapt

While they usually aren't poor sports, I don't think I've ever seen a baton pass team stick to it to the end. Usually fainting the pass recipient, (p)hazing, or passing leech seed on forces a quit.

I don't know what you want that dude to do. Did you want him to stick around for 2 more minutes for you to beat his team just to satisfy your ego?

His comment at the end amuses me

Yeah; besides the slurs, I love that he called using Earthquake a "noob tactic"; a noob tactic, by definition, should be strong against someone who doesn't have a counter for it, and a counter for it (e.g. Gyarados) shouldn't go down easily to moves that are commonly paired with said noob tactic. Is it that hard to put an Air Balloon on a Magnezone?

I've quit on Wi-Fi when my opponent cheated (it was obvious. My 100 accuracy attacks were missing, he always hit and got crits, and he always went first. I'm pretty sure an EV trained Spec'd Latios is faster than a non-Spec'd Gallade).

Nope, you're just unlucky, it's impossible to cheat while online, especially random matchup.

Also what, have the people itt never played other multiplayer games before? Especially dedicated multiplayer games? This isn't a surprise people, these kinds of people are in every multiplayer game. It's just anger

There's every chance he could have beaten me. Quitting at the first hurdle is just so unsportsmanlike

I like the people that quit when you one shot their lead. No, I don't have a team of 5 other Pokemon to do the job.

Also, I remember in a monotype tourney I was in with my water team against a guy's poison team. My Starmie was one shotting everything with psyshock. He used 4 of his team before quitting, even though he had a perfectly good Drapion yet to be used.

Oh I know that. It doesn't make it any less hilarious when someone cries about it.

I know, I loved the irony of you calling hax, it was sweet. His reaction at the end was great

Yeah, I didn't have four other Pokemon that were capable of taking a Gliscor down, 2 of which had ice attacks.

People still swear at me when I used the Riolu strategy

It's a very annoying strategy, but it has enough counters. I remember some dude essentially called me a noob in less rational terms because he copycat'd my entire team of bugs and it brings out Yanmega and I use protect. He still did a heap of damage, so I don't know why he was complaining.

This is why Pokemon should remain local.

Meh, I think the positives far outweight the idiots.

I honestly don't mind people forfeiting, especially when it's a pretty foregone conclusion that they are losing. Saves us both time and the winner would still get points for it (well, in Showdown anyway). I just don't see why you'd quit after you still have a good chance of winning, just your initial strategy didn't work.

Like someone quitting on me cause I wasn't stupid enough to fall for Altaria perish songing and Wobbs shadow tagging.
