With X/Y coming out in October, I feel it's important to do our speculating now, while we still can.
The thing about Fennekin that captures your attention at first glace is its design. That look it's giving us goes very well with its body, and its colors blend together well. The tuffs of hair in its ears look like fire, and have a nice darker contrast to the light orange coloring of its body.
The thing that worries me most is how the evolutions can throw Fennekin in a completely different direction. I'll be disappointed if they aren't Fire/Fighting; Fennekin being the first firestarter I actually like, it would be my first time using a Fire/Fighting type, which I've always thought to be a great type wasted on ugly pokemon. Also, I'm worried about the direction Gamefrak will take the design. Oshawott looked absolutely nothing like Samurott, so who's to say Fennekin won't follow the path that the last best starter pokemon took? --- I am here to promote the discussion and appreciation of Fennekin.
I'm also afraid of what they might do to its evolutions. It's by far my favorite of the gen 6 starters, and I don't want it to end up being terrible. --- THAT'S MISS HOME ROWED TO YOU stab slowly and let it die, this is the best life my money can buy

So yeah, Fennekin is the best Pokémon and is adorable, but unlike some people I also like the other Gen VI starters.
I'll be satisfied with any dual type for its evolutions (including pure) except Fighting and Normal. --- Why do I have to move with the crowd of kids that hardly notice I'm around? I work myself to death just to fit in.
