Pokemon with really dissapointing final stages

Klinklang. Gears -> More Gears -> Yet More Gears. Should have added up to something other than gears.

Dragonite. Went from a sleek graceful beast to Barnie.

Barney*

The difference between Barney the Dinosaur and Dragonite is that Dragonite looks like it would give the best hugs.

I would rather die than be hugged by Barney the Dinosaur.

Why do I have to move with the crowd of kids that hardly notice I'm around? I work myself to death just to fit in.

Are you ready for this... The following posts are why Pokemon will never completely appeal to all the fans...

Magnezone. I loved Magneton, but when I evolved it, it became this hideous UFO pokemon with floating magnets around it.

This.

Magneton is like my favorite pokemon. I'd have much prefered it if it were like 5 or 7 magnemites stuck together.

I'm just saying. Not harassing anyone, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

But for the love of Pokemon. What's with the hate on the Tepig line? Tepig was cute, Pignite was cool and Emboar was utterly fantastic.

Emboar, Torterra and Blastoise are my favorite starters. Was it because the Tepig line turned out to be Fire/Fighting again with sub-par stats? Or is it actually the design? Because I love it.

I can get Samurott but definitely not Serperior. Serps is awesome design wise. My only gripe about Samorott is that it's not bipedal or fighting.

Stoutland was disappointing for me.

I can only speak for myself, but my main disappointment with the Emboar line is that Tepig promised so much more. Something more along these lines:

I personally don't hate Emboar, I think he's pretty powerful looking. I don't like Pignite, he looks fat and stupid to me. But Emboar's ok. It's more a case of wasted potential than genuine dislike, for me at least. The Fire/Fighting thing is irritating but not the end of the world since ignoring the repetition it's a pretty good combo.

I personally think the Gen V starters are comfortably the worst so far though. I like Tepig but don't like Snivy or Oshawott; personally I think the only one of the three who gets significantly better throughout the evolution chain is Samurott, although he's a bit left-field (not necessarily a bad thing). For me:

Snivy 4/10 --- Servine 4/10 --- Serperior 4/10

Tepig 8/10 --- Pignite 3/10 --- Emboar 6/10

Oshawott 4/10 --- Dewott 8/10 --- Samurott 8/10
