Infernape, Lilligant and Electivire join forces to revive Genesis Sudowoodos to push away an evil substance called the Mist.

And it's eventually revealed that the Mist is the breath of Giratina

FF IX?

TOO MANY THINGS HAVE MIST GRAHHHH!

...Myst?

Myst the game has essentially nothing to do with mist the concept. "Myst" is just the name of the island that serves as the game's hub.

And Mewtwo turns out to be Lilligant's brother.

Well, it kinda sounds like Tales of Symphonia but I never finished it so...

Another hint: After Infernape, Lilligant and Electivire defeat Mewtwo, he falls down a pit and merges with the gigantic Zekrom.

Soon enough, Zekrom engulfs Infernape's village, and they have to travel inside Zekrom's body to destroy his heart, and we find out Mewtwo is still alive inside Zekrom's heart.

When they defeat Mewtwo again, Mewtwo becomes a Mew, and Lilligant carries Mew off with her.

Is this only movies and shows? Too lazy to find out.. I saw a 10 minute clip and the heart part reminds me of lollipop chainsaw.

I guess it's too obscure. It's Legend of Legaia.

A Meowth and a Goldeen win legs live in a world of mismatched characters. One of their classmates is a living Tropius fruit.

The amazing world of gumball

A group of professors in Antarctica encounter a man trying to kill a Growlith. They save it and take it in. Later it starts to attack them and they call it Deoxsy. They use flamethrower on it and in the end only two of them are left.

Darn it, I was about to guess that one but you posted the answer... Oh well.

As soon as I saw Mist, I knew it was either Legend Of Legaia or FFIX.
