Until he encounter and accidentally kills an old lady Persian and gets sent to jail and eventually gets sent through intense Psychic testing which results in him losing all desire for violence.

Clockwork Orange?

and yes, it was Brave

had to go with Politoed cuz he's the only one known to Sing in the Rain.

also, two of his Poliwhirls evolve into Poliwraths and kick his ass later.

A Pokemon trainer raids the Pokemon Tower for two reasons:

1. Be the first one to reach the top of the tower in his hometown, Pokebaiya.
2. Find out what happened to his father, who was also a trainer, who died in the tower.

On his first trip to the Pokemon Tower, he finds a talking Axew.

Also, the Pokemon Tower has lots of weapons, shields, scrolls, magic balls, bells, and Pokemon eggs. And traps. The trainer and his Pokemon must defend themselves from wild Pokemon, which come in spades.

In the 16th, 26th, and 36th floor, there's a special Pokemon which can turn any item into any item, specially the Master Ball, which is very rare normally. When you throw a Master Ball at a wild Pokemon, he reverts into an egg that can be hatched inside the trainer's Pokemon Hut as a free Pokemon.

A somewhat vain male Machoke, while trying to get a strongly defiant female Lopunny to breed with him, unwillingly forms a party with five others: a male Xatu that's often lost in thought, a very finicky female Kirlia, a male Togetic that's somewhat of a clown, a Kangaskhan that's a little quick tempered, and a male Relicanth that often scatters things. Machoke grows to like the party in spite of himself.

The party also interacts regularly with an impetuous and silly male Simisear that's not-so-secretly smitten with Machoke, and a thoroughly cunning male Sableye that longs to join the party but is for the most part rejected due to the antics he pulls against them.

I'd have made Chang a monkey.
And Britta is NOT a Lopunny.

Metal Slug? Based solely on Slugma's name.
