Should a more dynamic battle system be implemented...?

Being completely honest, the worst aspect of all pokémon games is the battle system. It's a classic, yeah, but that doesn't mean it's good.

I've always wanted a Pokémon spin-off with a more active battle system...as in, Legend of Zelda active, not Final Fantasy VI active.
However, after games like Xenoblade, Tales of Moderngamereleasedasaps3exclusive...ehem, or even Quest 64, I think the pokémon franchise would benefit from a more active battle system.
Not only would this make NEW people be interested in Pokémon games (it would be a little more interesting for them), it would also make the game go from 'Spam A to win' to 'Move your pokémon, evade, attack'

So...what do you think? Should the franchise adopt a more active battle system (not necessarily as active as the one I put here...you get the point)

Except it IS good and is the result of years of building a battle system and polishing it more and more.

I think you're confused. By 'battle system' I don't mean the 'catch your pokeymanz, train them properly, get TMs, make them learn new abilities', I mean the 'spam A to win' battle system.
How the hell has that battle system been 'polished more and more'?

Only in a spinoff.

I quite enjoy the current "spam A to win" system.

I don't have to pay too much attention to the bottom screen, and battles are the easiest time to multitask, not because I'm bored, but not all of us get to live at home without doing chores.

I'm quite fond of the turn-based battle system. Besides you won't get far in the real competitions if you just spam A without looking.

"Spam A" as in "A is the select button", amirigh? Or are you really stating this BS?
The battle system wasn't polished? Really?

Why don't people suggest Pokemon to become a FPS already, because turn based means button spamming and instant crap?

Surprised no one's said anything about how TC suggests a better battle system that (Mash A to win), yet suggests they use Zelda as the ideal model.
