Dual-type attacks? I'm kinda curious how they'll pull that off tbh.

How about adding Choice Band/Lens, Nasty Plot boost, or one of gems to that equation?

Also lurking on this board it seems like most people are really against dual-type moves.

I wonder why?

*sigh*

Current system, with STAB and weakness, it is possible to deal 6x damage to a dualtype.

With dualtype moves, it becomes possible to do 9x damage to a monotype.

Unless they overcomplicate how the damage multipliers work.

The only suggestion I've seen all day that wasn't stupid was that the move has two separate hits, one of each type. Admittedly, that could work. But otherwise, dualtype moves have no business in this game. And even with that idea, I don't think it's really all that great an idea; merely an acceptable one.

I really don't see a problem with that at all. :/

The gems would be an extra 1.5x, so 101.25x damage.

If you count Nasty Plot as a 2x multiplier (it isn't exactly - it's a 2x multiplier to the STAT, not the damage directly), then it would be 135x without a gem or 202.5x with a gem.

And BTW, should the move hit critical? Yeah, double the number.

It makes the game more of an offense-fest than it already is. -_-

Again, I don't see the problem.

Besides for all we know only limited amount of moves will be dual-type anyways.

If this happens, and it shouldn't, there will be a water/rock type move.

Bank on it.

It totally ruins the game

It boils down to who is fast and has a dual stab attack

A rock close combat from a terraikon base power after stab is 240 making it a spamable explosion

On something neutral to it.

Just think if it hit a ice type

No.... NO! All Dual type attacks will do is make irrelevant Pokemon even more irrelevant and useless in the Metagame.
