As unlikely as that is, I really don't see a pokemon with two of the same type/does stealth rock even get stab?

It does damage based on the opposing Pokemon's type. So it does 25% to any Pokemon with a type that's weak to rock and 50% to a Pokemon that has 4x weakness. So Rock/Rock would mean that a Pokemon like Charizard...oh dear...

I still don't think that if dual type moves were real they would make one move the same type twice over<.< I

Technically, since every Pokemon has two types which for mono-type Pokemon is just their single typing listed twice, having dual-typed attacks will similarly make every single-typed attack just have its type listed twice in the code. So if there are dual-typed attacks in this gen, Stealth Rock will indeed become a Rock/Rock type move.
