Fairy vs Fighting as the "light" type

#1LordYggdrasilXXPosted 5/12/2013 9:18:03 AM
Suppose the leak is correct about fairy type is SE against dark, would that make fairy the "light"/"holy" type? Fairies these days are usually portrayed as "benevolent" and "innocent" and the case for fighting is warriors who fight with honor. Dark type is the "evil" type which is about fighting dishonorably and "cheating" like eye poking and stuff like that.

Pokemon game always get censored, they think holy is too much religious

Couldn't they both be "Light" types?

As you said, Fairy's represent benevolence, and Fighting represents honour (or justice), both of which defeat Evil (Dark).

The whole "Fighting represents honor" thing is a myth, probably invented to discredit Light-type speculation. Scrafty isn't honorable (though admittedly he's a Dark-type). Primeape is said to be incredibly violent. Yesterday's panda has a mischievous look to him and is referred to as the "Naughty Pokemon".

I'd say it's because martial arts are typically about honor and whatnot, while the Dark type revolves around fighting dirty. That said, Primape and the Panda are more or less exceptions to the rule by this point.

True, but the "dark" type doesn't actually represent darkness.
