can you clarify what makes the "magic" type separate from psychic?
Psychic is mind games and confusion.
Don't most people associate magic with a strong mind?
We think of wizards as sagely figures, we imagine that the oldest and most learned of casters are the most powerful, a high Int score grants you bonus spell slots... --- "Murder of the living is tragic, but murder of the idea is unforgivable." - Janus, speaker of the synod
Almost all Pokemon that can perform special attacks can perform "magic" to an extent. I don't really see how the Magic-type can be justified when Water-types can use Ice-type attacks, and things like Latias and Darkrai have attacks that can't be conjured physically or logically (Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, etc).
Maybe they would rename "fairy type" into "magic type" or "magical type" when it gets translated in English, the same way how "evil type" became "dark type" in the English version. --- http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=JcDizon "The reaper is always one step behind me..." - Shadow from Final Fantasy VI

That's what I was trying to say by making this topic. If they are going to make a fairy type, at least turn it into magic so it fits in better. Because if you try to picture a fairy type attack, what comes to mind? Magic. --- http://i.imgur.com/xWWX5xm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/tMhFpCD.jpg Thanks Fellwolf and L4DHunter! <3
Fairy fits better as a Pokemon's physical attribute. Making it Magic type instead is like opting to change Water type to "Wet type" because water Pokemon can make stuff wet just like fairies can perform magic. Not to mention "magic" sounds broad as **** and fairy is a mythical type so it fits in just fine along with Dragon. I don't get why so many people are keen on renaming it. --- 3DS FC: - White 2 FC: 1765 0547 5604, Name: Kojo
