Just by looking at them, I would guess Xerneas to be Psychic/Steel and Yveltal to be Dark/Flying

Yveltal: Dark/Flying or Fight/Flying Xerneas: Steel/Grass, Steel, or Steel/[Fairy/Magic/Other] --- 1: If you think your opinion is fact, then I will ignore you. 2: If you butcher the English language or abuse Netspeak, see #1.

Xerneas seems like it'd be Psychic.
Yvetal looks like Flying/Dark, but that would make it immue to Xerneas' STAB, so idk. --- "We thirsted for thunderbolts and great deeds."

Dark/Flying and Fairy.
I'm not even a Hiro believer either. Those are the types I guessed before he came along. --- 3DS FC: - White 2 FC: 1765 0547 5604, Name: Kojo

Yveltal: Dark or Fighting / Flying Xerneas: Psychic or Electric or Steel / Ground
Grass at a stretch.
Why at a stretch? If you look closely at its design and also look back to where it was in the trailer you will see it is actually very "grassy". Its antlers look like tree branches for example.
It was in the forest but Xerneas itself doesn't look grassy at all to me. Its antlers might look like tree branches but they're not brown, they're glowing with prismatic colors and look hard like steel more than wood.
What's with Yveltal being a dark type? It has no basis for being evil and just looks powerful, not sinister.
Because it's black/red, evil/yvel, and looks like a vulture. I suppose it could be Psychic though based on the blind eagle theory.
