I'm seriously hoping Helioptile gets sun-based abilities.

An electric-type on a sun team would be freaking amazing.

That's what I was saying.

Helioptile evo @ Life Orb
-Parabolic Charge
-HP Fire
-Solarbeam
-filler/Volt Switch or something

I think it's going to evolve into a Electric/Fire Type

Give it Thunder as a counter for rain teams.

Probably his ability will be Solar Power

That's what I'd do...but seriously, that looks like a possible competitive build for Helioptile, if it can learn solarbeam and the like

Epic twist: it's physically-oriented. Trolololol.

If Helioptile doesn't get Solar Power, I would be honestly disappointed. It would make the most sense for it, but it's not like Gamefreak hasn't made weird ability choices before.

It would make a good Choice Scarf Pokemon for Sun Teams, especially since it can probably also have Volt Switch. Makes an excellent scouter/revenge killer.
