Proud Mode:

-Your Pokémon can't evolve and hold items;
-If you level up your Pokémon, the level of every foe in the game will be increased to match the highest level among the Pokémon in your party;
-After being healing your Pokémon once, Pokémon Centers, Nurses and Doctors take three hours (gameplay time) before they can be used again;
-Putting Pokémon in the Box does not heal them (not even the ones that are sent to the PC after being caught);
-Partner Trainers will no longer heal your Pokémon, or their own (if your partner runs out of Pokémon, you're on your own);
-Items you can buy in the shops are 10x as expensive;
-If you white out (all of your Pokémon faint), you lose ALL of your money, and all the hold items, medicines, battle items, berries and poké balls in your bag are gone.

Critical Mode:
*It has everything Proud Mode had, plus the following:
-All of the opponents' attacks will land Critical Hits;
-All of the opponents' moves now have never-miss properties (similar to Aura Sphere). Does not apply to OHKO moves;
-Added effects of opponents' moves and items happen twice as often (as if every Pokémon had an improved Serene Grace on them; just for a bit of relief, it doesn't stack with regular Serene Grace);
-You only gain 50% of the usual amount of EXP and money in battles;
-The "Run" option is disabled in wild Pokémon battles. Additionally, Repels are removed from the game;
-You cannot switch Pokémon;
-If you white out, in addition to Proud Mode's penalties, the Pokémon in your team are gone and will be replaced by whatever Pokémon you have in your box at the moment. If you're out Pokémon, you'll get a Game Over screen and your save file will be erased.
