Why anyone would be against adding something new that is clearly not a bad idea is beyond me.
To me it's just needless. It's innovation for the sake of innovation. To this day I've still yet to hear of a single Pokemon or Attack idea for Fairy that couldn't easily be covered by an existing type. The only semi-logical reason I've heard to be in favor of it is type balance, and if the rumors so far are true, the Fairy type will not be bringing fair balance to the type chart. So why bother? Has nothing to do with whether I think it's a good or bad idea (and for the record I never thought it was a BAD idea, just an unnecessary one)
Anyway, moving on. To show off a few non-girly Fairies from the MegaTen series
Cu Chulain - http://images.wikia.com/megamitensei/images/1/1c/CuChulainn2.jpg
Just to show off a couple. Naturally I don't expect any Pokemon to look anything like this, and even if they did, most of them I could easily see being something other than Fairy type, but still. Fun designs.
Plus I'm a big Kaneko fan, and I like looking at his artwork.
