Long dungeons are only an issue if you waste PP on wild Pokémon you're not going to catch, which you shouldn't.

Rock Tunnel wasn't difficult. Most of us could clear it in the dark in a short amount of time. What I would like to see are intricate water current puzzles like west of Pacifidlog. Creative uses of the terrain like that are interesting. There isn't much they can do with caves; Chargestone Cave is the extreme.
