Back when i made that topic on my alt, i was certain there was a conspiracy going on. Now i'm almost sure of it.

1. Kalos is based on France. Saint Seiya is a very popular francishe there.

2. Gogoat is the first Goat Pokemon that appeared, and it comes from Kalos as well. Capricorn Shura's armor was also from a goat.

3. Now, we're getting a Wyvern Pokemon, which is currently unnamed. "Wyvern" associates with nobody else than Wyvern Rhadamanthys, one of the most liked Saint Seiya character by fans.

Conclusion?

Pegasus Pokemon will be there, in this gen. Just you wait for it.

Wyvern associates with WYVERNS, not an obscure anime character.

It's in faux France because the last game was faux-merica. It's just a new place.

It's a goat. Nothing more.

And every other position in the zodiac has pretty much been filled.

With this logic you could argue any of the games is filled with saint seiya references.

Anyway tc you're putting the cart before the horse. IF ANYTHING Saint Seiya is referencing the zodiac and mythology, and so is pokemon. It's not pokemon referencing the anime so much as both referencing the same thing (if at all)

But really, pokemon has nothing to do with saint seiya at all. I just said it that way to placate you.

Oops.

Thunder Armor in the anime was a Saint Seiya reference as well. And seeing as how popular SS is in France, it would not suprise me if they are way more refs as well.

And yeah, SS, based on the Zodiac and Astrology? Obviously. That doesn't disprove TC's claims.<_<

If there is an attack like the Pegasus Metor Punch or Nebula Chain, then Nintendo, take all my money.

I swear though every time someone claims a game is referencing something without a source and claiming so just because it has one or two things thing in common, it is always wrong. It's silly and kind of ignorant. Sorry, but it's annoying.

I could just start claiming Sylveon is based off bubblegum because she is pink and her eyes look like gumballs and shes the new rubber type and that it's a reference to One Piece but that is COMPLETE conjecture, conjecture just as bad as the kind found in this topic.

Sorry, but there aren't any SS references in XY. For every BS SS reference, I can come up with 2 more that make just as much (that is to say, very little) sense.
