Okay so I would expect fairy type pokemon to have more then 70 pokemon TOTAL

#1carpediempimpPosted 6/11/2013 9:29:04 PM
This includes any pokemon that get fairys type added.

The 9 most common type (fire)thus the average is only 7.4%

Assuming the number of new pokemon reachs 800 that only 60 pokemon

Considering Evolution and legendaries that would prob be like 30, 40ish pokemon

Then you have to take into account even gens aren't known for adding that many pokemon so we're prob not hitting 800.

Just some interesting info

70 Fairy Pokemon is a bit high. I'm expecting it to be on the low side, and probably the rarest type so far.

They'll have time to expand the amount, too. Remember back in GS, when Dark and Steel types were introduced, those were really rare, but the number has increased significantly since then.

I'm hoping for around 30 fairies. If we assumed the three retconned Pokémon kept the type through all evolutions, we're already a third of the way there anyway.

70 would place it right in the middle of appearance by type assuming they add 150 Pokemon

I don't expect it either

Did some more math around 40 of Pokemon are fully evolved.

That would mean around 28 family's

No I think it should be rare and only some of the past gen Pokemons should get it (eg. Miltank, Chansey, Clefairy, Snubull, Milotic). They will most likely introduce more new Fairy type Pokemon for X& Y (I'm guessing about 4-6 at least including Sylveon).

I'm expecting 35 to 40 (total, not fully evolved) to match Dragon's rarity.
