Its random, and your opponent didn't know what he/she was doing.

Close combat against Whirilipede, and using Fake out over, and over.. Really?

Yeah but Fake out over, and over? Using close combat on whirlipede when you know that its just gonna get another layer of toxic spikes up?

That opponent was obviously new, not that there's anything wrong with that. But its not a good example for showcasing Charizards strength.
