Do you think they should get rid of normal's weakness to fighting?

And just keep immunity to ghost? In this way, normal gets stronger and fighting gets a little weaker, but it balances the game IMO. In my opinion, normal shouldn't be weak to anything if it isn't strong to anything.

And now with fairy type retconning a lot of normal types, normal types will be taking a slightly different role.

I would honestly be ok with it. If they're going to add a new type, they might as well rework the typing chart to more evenly balance things out. While they're at it, why not boost Poison a little bit? Give it a little bit of an offensive force while bolstering it's slightly better-than-average defensive capabilities.

If Normal is somehow resistant to Fairy than Fighting can stay super effective and the type chart still stays balanced.

Poison could also be strong against water, which would help the balance as well.

We already know the extremely likely type matchups and normal is not involved.

Normal doesn't resist but, as you say, it does have an immunity. it just sucks that things resist, 1 is immune, and it's not effective against anything.

Normal has the advantage of hitting 14 types (probably 15 now) unresisted with a fair amount of high power moves though. It might not be gamebreaking but it's not like normal has nothing going for it.

Bu fighting does, and I feel the fighting type could be limited.

A lot of types are only resisted by a couple others. But I suppose normal does have more high powered moves than a lot of them, like Dark or Psychic. But most of the stronger moves have drawbacks, like recoil or accuracy issues (or downright death).

I feel that fairies should hold the same properties as ghost in that normal should b immune to it or alternatively, normal should be super-effective against fairy. Its high time normal gets a type advantage over something
