Not upset at all.

I don't really have any emotional ties to any Pokemon, not even the shiny ones or the ones I've spent hours breeding for. They're pixels, after all.

A lot of Pokemon would be unobtainable. They won't likely put in all the old Pokemon until the third version.

Provides variety. Who says you have to roll with the popular movesets to be good? Well...besides elitist Smogonites.

I would be slightly pleased if only for the fact that GameFreak would have to eventually make every Pokémon available in Gen VI, where Gen V forced transfers for a bunch of Pokémon.

It would suck for people looking to carry their collection over though.

They're quite often the most popular because they are unquestionably the best.
