Do you think Game Freak understands Fairy Type isn't enough to fight Dragons?

Just being Fairy Type isn't enough. One of the things many of the OU/Uber Dragon Types also possess are incredibly high base stats and fantastic movepools that suit their needs. - Results (68 votes)
I'm sure sure Game Freak understands and will raise the base stats of the Fairy Type Pokemon to make them viable.

I think GF did just the right thing, tbh. I don't know if the dragon immunity is just a rumour, but if it is confirmed(sorry, I don't keep up with the news much), then that's a big step in the right direction.

I mean, look at Psychic type. It was the most OP type in Gen 1, then, it got a new weakness, an immune type and a resistant one and slowly grew weaker over time and nowadays it's considered a bad type even. Fairy is just one type, but it works after the same principle.

Not to mention, Fairy will no doubt receive some good pokemon. They exist for every type, after all.

Dragon resistance may not do it, but an immunity is a different story. Many dragons are powerful enough to even plow through a resistance without much trouble unless backed up by solid defense, but giving a type straight up immunity to Dragons makes Dragon type moves significantly less safe.

If the immunity rumor is true, dragons still won't be entirely neutered, but they'll certainly take a big hit.

dragon immune + fight resist/immune would be enough to seal the deal.

Dragon immunity would effectively remove the move Outrage from the game. No one is going to use it when they could very easily be giving a fairy type a free turn to set up.

If Gardevoir finally get's Quiver Dance then maybe we'd be in business.

Damn. They really should change that though. If you committed, you committed, whether it effects the target shouldn't matter.

Who cares if it's enough? Dragon-types will be worse off with Fairy in the field because Fairy-types can switch in on 4x Attack Dragon-type moves. Dragon is of course still going to be an above-average type, but that is as it should be.
