Hey everybody! There's been whispers about this for a while, but here it is:
The GameFAQ's Best Battlers returns and, as the title implies, we're here to see who here is the best. Everyone is welcome to join as long as you have a GameFAQs account. So let's get into it.
Topic Leaders -kaonohiokala -Ray Gun
Tournament Rules -All battles are in the B2W2 OU format. -Battles are to be done on Pokemon Showdown. -Tournament will be in double-elimination format. -Pokemon Showdown logs must be saved and PM'd to a topic leader (the one on the opposite bracket from your own). -You have 5 days to complete your battle each round. If 5 days pass and one player is more active than the other I will give the more active player the win. If both are inactive an alternate chosen by a topic leader may fill the slot or if there is no worthy alternate a coin will be flipped to determine the winner. -If you cannot comply with the above rules, do not enter the tournament.
How to Enter -Just post "in". -We'll also be separating proven battlers as we work out the seeds, but a lot of it will be randomly selected as well. If you feel you have already proven some modicum of success in battling, you're welcome to post information such as your Smogon username, Pokemon Showdown account names, or anything that proves that you've accomplished the slightest bit of "something." >_>
We are currently shooting for 64 entrants, but based on how many sign-ups we receive, we may change this, so enter even if you think it'll be full, because at worst you may fill-in an alternate spot. While this tournament will indeed have a winner, it is also designed to give us a feel of who is the "best battler." It is for that reason that battle logs are required and may be used in determining a worthy alternate if the need arises. --- "I am champion of Bellator. I am face of Bellator now. because showdown is the primary battle simulator out right now. it's also far more accessible being available online as opposed to requiring a download. anyone can pick it up and play from the get-go.
also 64 is a s*** load, i doubt you'll find 64 peeps here tbh
yah, but there are tons of users here. it really depends on how many people decide to enter regardless of their skill level. --- "I am champion of Bellator. I am face of Bellator now. Who want with belt? Come on with cage. I am beat you. -Alexander Shlemenko
True but why not give the option to do either? also po has the option to disable peeps from joining your room so you wont get scouted --- i7-3970X Extreme ~ Asus Rampage IV Extreme ~ 32 GB DDR3-2133 ~ 10 TB 7200RPM ~ 500 GB SSD ~ 690 x2 ~ 1200 W PSU Gold ~
