GameFreak seems to be making quite a point about the rumored Echo-type...

I mean, i think it's a stupid idea, but take a look:

First, we are shown a Wyvern with two giant speakers, the perfect candidate for such a typing. It's not only shown to be (yet another) Flying/Dragon, but it also uses a sound move called Boomburst, confirmed to be Normal-type.

A little later, we get the reveal about Fairy-types, and are told some old pokemon will be retconned into this new type. Jigglypuff, the cute little pink blob known for singing, is stated to be a Normal/Fairy as of now.

Some time after that, we are introduced to Litleo, the lion cub pokemon. It is a Fire/Normal (what kind of lame type combination is that?) pokemon, whose signature move is called Noble Roar.

It's okay. We get it. It was just a lame idea someone spread around. Can we move along now?
Or is it actually a curveball?

I kinda chuckled when I saw Noivern and the fact that he learned Boomblast and it was like they put that stupid rumor to rest. I was happy.

I was gonna make fun of the fact it gets a normal type signature move

But then i thought maybe it has an ability that buffs sound based moves

I hope it does that, that would be awesome!

Gamefaqs is like a tragic documentary on thinking too much about dumb s***
