I saw that. It kind of assumed it didn't prove anything either way since in the past, opposing real life trainers took the form of existing trainer archetypes in-game. Except they're clearly based on the "default" male and female trainer; even if they were placeholders, they chose to make customized versions of the characters, rather than just going with "Lass", "Scientist", "Hiker", and "Beauty".
