making ditto viable for ingame

I think they could make ditto useful in an in-game team if they give it a buff like this:

when transforming into an opponent's pokemon, ditto's stats aren't copied from the target, but rather they are set to what the target's stats would be at ditto's current level.

basically, if a lv 10 ditto uses transform against a lv 8 ratatta, ditto becomes a lv 10 ratatta with the target's moves, IVs and EVs

what do you think?

This. Except for Battle Tower, Subway, and PWT, but even then, everything is the same level.
