Psychic being not very effective against Steel makes no sense

I take bigger issue with dark and ghost resistances.

Ghost doesn't resist Psychic and Dark is immune.

So yeah, wrong-o.

Dark is based on trickery and playing cheap. Try sucker punching a steel wall. See how well that works out.

Dark is a wide range of moves, ultimately falling to a negative element. I understand that some, nearly all even are just 'dirty and underhanded', but by that logic, you can still be as such to a steel Pokemon. It isn't the same as simply punching a wall.

Act smarter, please. It's obvious I meant for Steel.

I figure steel resisting psychic is the reason psychics bend spoons; it's conditioning.

It was to balance Psychics. They were overpowered in the first generation. No logic here, it was done simply for balance. Don't go hurting your brain.

Why are people still posting?

Spoons are only a product of our perception of reality.
Therefore, they are within our minds.
No matter how hard we try, we can't cause spoons to disappear. This shows the power they have over us.

Therefore Steel>Psychic

I'll have to be honest, I found this pretty funny ^_^

I can bend a spoon with my hand. I can't bend sheet metal with my hand.

The 2 have nothing to do with each other.

Psychic attacks are not attacking the mind necessarily, they are attacking with the mind. In d&d, clairvoyance, clairaudience, and other such psionic powers are blocked by at least an inch of steel, or even just a thin sheet of lead. The same holds true for magics that produce similar effects, which is why Fairy will probably be ineffective against Steel as well.

Also, most spoons are made of relatively malleable metal so they're easier to make.
