I really hope Helioptile was designed for solar power

The two seem prefect for each other and it's exactly what sun needs

If Helioptile finally form offensive stats like X/100/120 and solar power is a god send for sun teams

Particularly in Helioptile's case because Electric has good neutral coverage, and Parabolic Charge can counter the damage taken from SP.

Speed really doesn't help too much with SP. There are still sashes, sturdy, resistances, scarves, and priority moves that screw any SP user that doesn't have a Giga Drain variant.

120 outspeeds every none scarfed rain sweeper ignoring swift swim

Meaning you have a check to rain teams as well

120 speed is great, but again Solar Power is a bad ability unless you have a Giga Drain variant. So yes, it would be a great check to rain teams, but in the sun, Parabolic Charge would save Helioptile, not its speed.

I was factoring both that together make a powerful sun sweeper that can check rain even outside of sun.

I get the distinct feeling that GameFreak did in fact design Helioptile as a Pokemon for sun teams to go up against rain teams. As it stands, sun teams are almost completely at the mercy of rain teams.
