X and Y titles; sexual implications?

#1HeroSandwichlolPosted 7/2/2013 9:17:54 AM
Anyone who's taken Biology knows that females have two X chromosomes and males have one X chromosome and one Y chromosome.

And anyone on this board knows that the title for the this gen are X and Y.

Which brings me to my point: what if you can only choose the female character in X, and the male character in Y? And what if each separate sex has a different progression in the game (i.e. gym orders switch, rival team characters switch, etc.) I think it'd be a great way to develop a strong and independent female protagonist.

It would also solve the problem that some fans have that the differences between versions are slim-to-none

Would such a distinction between the games influence which version you buy? (assuming you intend to buy only one version, of course)

They're called X and Y, not XX and XY. :/

My best guess is a coordinate plane, with a third game coming out being Z. All three of the 3 dimensional axes.

Yes, and in other news, the sky is blue, roses are red, and the average GameFAQs user cannot see through thinly-veiled implications. For, if that user could, s/he'd realize that since every sex has an X chromosome, it is a single X or Y chromosome that determines the sex.

Just playing the game develops a strong and independent female protagonist.

You work alone, beating everyone you come across and become the strongest trainer in the region (champion)

No need for version exclusive genders

Xerneas is Psychic/Rock, Yveltal Dark/Flying (speculation)
