First/Second season Digimon tended to be more grungy looking, more detailed, and more obvious flaws whereas Pokemon tend to be cleaner, less detailed, and overall smoother look.
Actually, I think first-generation Pokemon had a lot more... "grit" than some of the later ones, especially in Ruby and Sapphire. Compare Venusaur and Mewtwo to the likes of Meganium and Groudon. D/P were a return to form, though, and B/W struck a nice balance.
Socran's Razor: "Never attribute to massive stupidity by someone else, what could be explained by a tiny bit of stupidity on your own part."
It looks like it has a sheath and unsheathed form.
It be cool if the sheath form is more defense oriented and the unsheathed one is offense oriented.
"During the Japan Expo, a new Pokémon was revealed. This Pokémon is known in France as Monorpale and Japan as Hitotsuki and is a Steel/Ghost type. We're not sure when this Pokémon will be introduced online to the English fandom but it will in Masuda's message. During battle, this sword Pokémon will unsheath itself. Keep your eye on the site for more" Source: http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml
