Kind of looks like an Electric move to me, although I can't listen to it, so maybe it sounds like Ice Beam.

Either way, I still think Xerneas is Psychic/Electric. It just makes sense.

Xerneas has a higher chance of being grass/fairy rather than ice/whatever

Electric moves are usually yellow. This one looked like and had Ice Beams sound effect.

It looked like both where using the signature move, dont remember hyper beam being purple and dont remember ice beam being formed like a prism.

Hyper Beam was purple in that Black and White 2 anime special thing, although I'm not sure if that matters :p

It was a fairy type move more than likely. As if anyone has paid attention both Moonblast and Fairy wind have a whitish look to them. As was this move. The likely hood of that being ice beam is possible but highly unlikely.

In regards to Yveltal's move, it take that as a either a new move, or hyper beam.

Take a look at Gen 4 and 5's Ice Beam animation and the moves look to be almost identical to the one that Xerneas used. As for Yveltal, the sound animation the move was given is just too similar to Gen 1 and 2's Hyper Beam for it to be any other move.

If it is Hyper Beam, it is definitely one of my favorite animations for the move to date. Gen 4 and 5's just looked weird to me.
