you know me by now bruh so don't take it personally but imo it's really bad

Any suggestions? Aside from taking out Lanturn or Espeon that is. I use those not because they are the best choices, but because I like them and want to use them.

1. ok change toxicroak to

toxicroak@LO/lefties
dry skin
adamant
252/252/4
-SD
-drain punch/cross chop
-sucker punch
-ice punch

2. give lanturn volt switch over confuse ray (never use this) and hydro pump over surf if you feel like it to make up for the lack of SpA evs. drop balloon for lefties

3. drop gyara for

keldeo@scarf
252/252/4
-surf
-hydro pump
-secret sword
-hp ice

4. drop dragonite for a steel type. maybe spdef jirachi with uturn and wish

ok you now have an offensive rain team with espeon. later on when you get tired of your favorites you may feel like dropping lanturn espy and toxicroak for alternatives which will make your team not EQ weak and have a reliable SR setter

You should make your Espeon Timid, 252 Speed/HP. I mean it would really suck getting out-sped by Jolly Breloom and possibly getting OHKO'd by Bullet Seed. Also setting up quick screens is better than taking a hit and then setting them up. Since your Lanturn is defensive you should use Scald over Surf and maybe Volt Switch in place of Thunder. I would keep Gyarados though as with screens he should get a couple of DDs in, though I would switch intimidate with Moxie. -_-

Maybe switch out Dragonite for the superior specs user in Latios and I would use Scizor over Toxicroak just so you can have a Steel type, have some priority and have some U-Turn/Volt Switch thing going with Lanturn. Or maybe a Jirachi so you can set up SR and have a decent U-Turn/60% of para with Thunder. Though no priority though.

That's my advice, hopefully I helped. -_-

Thanks. I deliberately chose surf over scald for Lanturn because it's running a parafusion set, I can't have pokemon getting burned if I need to paralyze them. Volt Switch is a good idea though.

Bulky Espeon actually works surprisingly well in the sun because it can heal. I actually ran that in Ubers of all places, and it was useful. But I actually agree here. I can't run Morning sun on a rain team, so I should probably just make it offensive. Using a Lati might be better here, and I considered that, but is it worth giving up Hurricane?

I'm not sure about Toxicroak. I've had really good luck with it in the past. I might try Scizor or Jirachi though just to see how it works.

yeah go ferro over jirachi. go with twave/powerwhip/gyro ball/SR.

the game plan will be set up SR, spam twave with ferro and lanturn, wreck s*** with toxicroak, then clean up with scarf keldeo

Thanks for the help. I'm curious how that Toxicroak set would work w/o Substitute. Toxicroak's not all that fast, which I would think makes it hard to set up.

Not using Keldeo, it's one of my least favorite pokemon in existence, and I prefer not to use legendaries. I know it sounds stupid to you, but keep in mind that I play on showdown and PO for fun, not for actual competition.

I actually have no preference for Toxicroak. I'm only using it because I thought it would be good for my team. Can you clarify what EQ weak is?

Can Toxicroak learn Focus Punch?

*checks*

Nope. Sad. That's the only way I could justify putting Substitute on him.

Regardless though Drain Punch with his Dry Skin ability is pretty beast mode.

That spot is interchangeable anyways. I often switch out between Tentacrual, Cloyster, and Accelgor.

Toxicroak can learn Focus Punch. Although I honestly don't like it very much.
