To intimidate you by saying they know what's going down.

I can rng manipulate, therefore I can calculate stats and calculate damage ratios in my head, so you're going to lose.

Might as well forfeit right now type deal:)

I would think that sometimes it comes to preference. With so many pokemon that have varying shiny forms, who wouldn't want a pokemon that has a different color you like more?
I also remember reading that having shiny pokemon for tournaments can be a good thing because each shiny takes an extra 3 seconds to appear in battle(shiny stars animation) depending on how you stall.
At least it was from one of the people at the tournaments here:

http://nuggetbridge.com/reports/eggscelent-execution/

he states that the team wasn't a full on stall team, but the pokemon were RNG'd anyway to take advantage of the timer.

My reason: Because people like me think certain shinies look good, so they work extremely hard to get the shinies they like.

The entire team was RNG’d shiny in order to take advantage of the timer. Those extra three seconds came in handy when I won a game on one second. Keep in mind this was not a stall team nor was it designed to win only on timer. I was just aware that based on the way I play the game that games might end on timer with such a defensive team and I needed to keep that in mind while I was playing.

wow. what a ****ing geek

If they really are hacked, then all of those people wouldn't be able to participate in those tournaments.

And yet they can as there is no difference between a hacked pokemon and a legit pokemon if they are hacked well.

Should just give each pokemon four or five shiny pallets so each is rarer.
