Didn't bother reading this topic, but just wanted to say to anyone using Gardevoir as an example, I don't think that's a fair example. Gardevoir wasn't designed to be a Fairy, it just became one.
So far with the exception of Xerneas, they haven't really shown us much distinct variety in the Fairy type. Of course that will probably change, and I'm not saying that's automatically a negative, but that's just where we're at right now.
Personally, I'm waiting to see who the first dual type Fairy design is going to be. I'm really intrigued to see how Fairy is going to blend with other types (and no, I'm not counting existing Pokemon because as I mentioned before, those weren't designed with Fairy in mind. I'm talking dual type Pokemon specifically designed to incorporate the Fairy type alongside something else) --- Don't forget to check out my MegaTen themed webcomics at http://www.drunkduck.com/user/Strain42/ (Currently Updating: Persona 4TW Add-On M-F) 5069-5089-2020
