Theory on Xerneas and Yveltal

#1AankheinPosted 7/17/2013 10:37:16 PM
I read in that other topic that Xerneas is Life and Yveltal is Destruction.

This sounds exactly like the concept of the Trimurti in Sanatana Dharma.

Xerneas represents Brahma, the progenitor of life.
Yveltal represents Shiva, the lord of destruction.

I am willing to bet that the third legendary, presumably in Z, will represent the Preservation of Balance - Vishnu in Sanatana Dharma.

Additionally, Brahma has been known to take the form of a stag (Xerneas), while Shiva has been known to take the form of a destructive winged form(sarabha)

Very interesting. This combined with the Norse mythology theory makes me love Xerneas and Yveltal all the more. They are REALLY competing for my favorite mascot duo spot alongside Zekrom and Reshiram(I liked the whole Yin/Yang, Truth/Ideals concept)

Well, just as long as I don't have to spend time leveling in the Abandoned Factory just to grind levels and ranks for their fusion skills...

I am not familiar with Norse mythology, or any way it can be related to the duo, except maybe the 4 stags guarding the tree. Might look it up
