Imagine an ability to counter stealth rock

Dunno the name but it could be on a Fire/Flying type, and its effect would be

"If Stealth Rock would harm this Pokémon, the Pokémon instead absorbs the damage and pays it back double to the opponent"

We already have one of those. It's called Magic Bounce

Not changing this sig until we get a new main series Tales game released on a Nintendo console in the US

That's a little too much.

Do not censor my voice, or soften my unit.
They must remain loud and rigid, respectively.

It's not enough, Stealth Rock has become so over centralised to the point where 9.5/10 teams on Showdown for example have it and most people have to carry a Rapid Spinner to deal with it.

But wouldn't Stealth Rocks do 50% to a Fire/Flying type? Double would be 100%

I mean how about give a select few flying types something like this:

Air Buffet - When this pokemon appears in battle, it clears out all entry hazzards and does not take any damage from them.

Just make Flying types immune to Stealth Rock. It kinda makes sense too. Stealth Rock doesn't know a new Pokemon was entered the battlefield if that Pokemon never touches the battlefield right?

Smogon has a custom ability, named Mountaineer, that negates Stealth Rock damage.
