Lapras

Yes, tyranitar. It's the closest we'll probably get, and it even has the rock-typing.

Archen and Archeops - look at their designs. They look very much like raptors.

Also, Velociraptor/Big raptor are two completely different things, as velociraptors weren't that big.

Yeah, you're right about Lapras. But I dunno about Tyranitar. I mean, he's got three fingers and everything.

Also, Archen/Archeops are based on the Archaeopteryx. That's right there in the name. And they don't have the big toe claws.

And yes, I know Velociraptors were small. A lot of people don't because of Jurassic Park. Plus, I was on my phone and didn't want to look up how to spell "Deinonychus."

I always think tyranitar is based on godzilla with all that spikes on his back.
Definitely need more dinosaur pokemon.
Ankylosaurus in particular would be an awesome defensive wall type poke

You have an extremely broad definition of "dinosaur". I mean, Garchomp? Rhyhorn? The Tao trio?? Really???

We haven't had a badger Pokemon yet. Typhlosion is a honey badger, but those aren't real badgers, being closer to weasels.

Any other common Pokemon that you'd expect to have been made into Pokemon by now, but haven't?

Badger's are weasels aswell, same 'family'

No Badgers are in the weasel family Mustelidae, but weasels are a seperate clade. Honey Badgers are also a seperate clade that is more closely related to the weasel clade than to the Badger clade.

If people are gonna compare pokemon to animals by their families the scyther counts as a cockroach and a walking stick as all 3 come from the same Dictyopterra family. The fact is they come from the same family but further than that its different.
