I dunno, I tend to lean toward the Grass-types, but I guess Water would be my second-preferred starter. --- 3DS FC: 2578-3118-6645 PSN: PowahBoxers I need to play Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door again...
This, except more like Fire > Water >>>>>>>>>>>>> Grass. I switch off between Fire and Water starters all the time. Every time I choose a Grass starter I end up regretting it. If it weren't for the various Water/Ground types, I would never use Grass at all. Such a terrible type. They need to make more Grass/Rock and Grass/Water Pokemon. They are the only ones that are really good (well, Grass/Steel and Grass/Fighting are decent as well, but they both have 4x weaknesses). --- 1: If you think your opinion is fact, then I will ignore you. 2: If you butcher the English language or abuse Netspeak, see #1.
I tend to go with water types. I don't really know why. In 3 out of the 5 gens, my first choice has been the water type (Mudkip, Piplup, Oshawott). And even then they were a close second (Bulbasaur and Cyndaquil are just too awesome to pass up). Right now I'm torn between Froakie and Chespin. :/
I usually go with which starter's 3rd stage I think looks cooler rather than type.
1st Gen: Charizard 2nd Gen: Feraligatr 3rd Gen: Sceptile 4th Gen: Torterra 5th Gen: Serperior 6th Gen: Judging by the first stages, I'm leaning towards Fennekin's line
So I guess I've chosen more grass types than fire or water, but that's just how it happened to end up. --- "My faith protects me. My Kevlar helps." Michael Carpenter - Death Masks Official Norn of the Shin Megami Tensei IV board
