What do people do in the real world if they don't like humans? I mean, everything is pretty much humans You can't really get a job because humans do a lot of the jobs. The jobs for humans are related to humans. You can spend a lot of time at the casino, but all the prizes are human related. So you have no way of entertaining yourself and no way of making money. I guess it wouldn't matter too much because the only things you could buy really are human related things.
Oh wait, they would just have to get over it.
I know you think you're being clever, except you're missing the part that you don't play as pokemon in the games. --- This account has been placed into Purgatory, a timed suspension from posting any further messages on GameFAQs. Twice.

There were a lot of normal jobs in gen V: Lenora was a museum...keeper? Elesa was a model, there were A LOT of normal companies and people in business suits in Castelia, Clay had his own mining company...
There goes your answer. They just study and get a job... But come on, do you really want to study and then work instead of becoming a pokémon trainer/breeder/whatever? I sure as hell don't. I may get a normal job since I probably wouldn't become a gym leader, but my pokémon would still be alongside me (<3) --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43C2aBKMqeA

I don't recall seeing Pokemon as secretaries, teachers, scientists, electricians, CEOs, surgeons, cashiers... There are jobs that revolve around Pokemon, as they're a major part of the world, but there are still plenty of jobs that have no/minimal involvement with Pokemon themselves, and jobs that Pokemon cannot do without the right physiology and precise human instructions which would be more easily accomplished by humans themselves. --- Playing) Fire Emblem: Awakening, Guild Wars 2 Waiting) Pokemon XY
