Honedge base HP?

#1LegendofDarkraiPosted 7/21/2013 7:35:31 AM
It has 77 HP in level 35, so can someone calculate its base HP? Then we can probably see if it has an evolution or not!

I don't think it'll evolve, but the HP do seem like pretty low. Just a little over the double of it's level, so it could have about 250 at level 100. Even if this is without EVs, it's pretty low, unless it has bad IVs too.

Even with full EVs/IVs it could still only end up having about ~340 or something.
It's not good, but definitely possible for a final stage Pokemon.

If it already had high values then it'd be even lower (, but I don't think this is the case).

I'm guessing it will end up having around 284-334 though.

The tricky part is we don't know what its EVs or IVs are, or if Gen VI even uses the same base stat system.

We can, however, do min-max.

Assuming Gen VI uses Gen V's HP calculations, we get 77=((0+(2X)+0/4+100)*35/100)+10.
Subtract 10 from both sides to get 67=((2X+100)*35)/100.
Multiply the right to obtain 67=(70X+3500)/100.
Divide by 100 to obtain 67=.7X+35.
Subtract 35 to get 32=.7X.
Multiply the equation by 1/.7, or 1.42857143, to see that the absolute maximum base HP stat is about 45.

The minimum will be with 31 IVs and 252 EVs.

77=((31+(2X)+252/4+100)*35/100)+10
67=((31+2X+63+100)*35/100)
67=(194+2X)*35/100
67=(70X+6790)/100
67=.7X+67.9
67=.7X+67
X=0

For some reason I feel its base HP won't be zero. So.

also I feel I screwed up somewhere

TC made a mistake, it had 88 HP at Level 32, 77 was its current HP (unless there was another part it was shown in that I didn't see)

If it has 88 HP at level 32, then it's base HP (assuming no EVs at all) is approximately 57.

Assuming they recently caught it (0 evs), it's base HP would be between 57 (31 ivs) and 73 (0 ivs) which is in line with most non-legendary ghost pokemon in their final evolution. 252 evs, 31 ivs would be base 26 hp (possible but highly unlikely due to many reasons).
