This poll is now closed.
To put of stop to the ever so common rain and sand teams.

Possible proper nerfs in my opinion include weather only lasts as long as Pokemon is on the field (as a personal boost or for 2v2 and 3v3) or it only lasts 5 turns as if you used the "move" version of it.

Yes, there is no evidence for or against a nerf for weather teams. This is just a poll to gauge opinion.

I don't think they will actually be directly nerfed, but I think the possibility of more viable pokemon with Air Lock/Cloud Nine is definitely possible.

Especially if those abilities are buffed to permanently get rid of the weather instead of just applying when the Pokemon is active.

The only way they can nerf is to perm erase droughttales and drzziletoad, which will never happen.

They could however, ban them. Which also will never happen

So the only solution is no backwards capability, which may happen.

Other than that, no other way to nerf. Welcome to lamemon

I think that perma weather abilities should be nerfed so they're semi permanent; they'd last 10 turns max (altho 7/8 is more realistic).
And then they should introduce a couple new Pokemon with a Clear Skies ability which automatically stops weather (whenever the Pokemon enters battle)

Or they can even introduce yet another weather effect.

I highly doubt they will and I don't think they should either.

I would hope that they do. They introduced the Fairy-type because of how rampant Dragons are. They should also notice how nearly all teams use either Sun, Rain, or Sand (but especially Rain).

Heck, Rain is so overpowered, Swift Swim and Drizzle cannot be on the same team according to Smogon rules. Chlorophyll and Sand Rush does not have the same stipulation.
