Your Ideal Pokemon Soundtrack

They have to get Nobuo Uematsu to compose it, have Infected Mushroom do the instrumentation and contract the undead spirit of Roger Waters to write the lyrics.

It must blow minds.

My way is the high way. You'd have to be lactose intolerant to not learn to love it.
Ha! Cheese puns.

I wouldn't mind seeing Yuki Kajiura or Revo take a crack at it.

First off, there are so many composers I'd like to collabaorate with the series it's not even funny.
Second, there must be varity in the music. Gen 5 and 4 had that part down, but I'd like variations on the battle theme depending on location, time of day, and with certian Pokemon in the party.

For instance, the battle theme in an early route could be nice and cheery, while a battle in an underground area would sound dark, dreary, and ambient

For a common grassland theme set in an area located far from a major town, the .Dot Hack Grassland Theme:

For an icy area far out in the wild, the Wasteland theme from the same game, minus the cut into the battle theme in the middle:

Theme theme when you boot up the PC, from the same game:

A theme in a modern bustling city, technically it's a remix of Strange Sunset from SF EX:

A battle theme in an area close to or in an old japanese style village, Ibuki's SF3 theme:

Basically, I want the music varied since listening to the same BGM while leveling up sucks. I rather have a jukebox item to alter the Sound Test or something.

Composed by the guys who did the F-Zero X Guitar Arrange, but I feel like that won't happen. Or an 80's Metal band, which manages to be even less likely.

For something realistic, probably an epic chiptune soundtrack.

Something like this would be nice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-TkiaVXpVw

And less absolutely horrid primitive music effects. The DS games really grinded on my nerves at times with their horrid sound warping stuff. If you can't make music with nice sounds when you start experimenting then for f***s sake don't do it, it sounds like nails on a chalkboard.

Same goes for the crappy rock style they flogged to death on HGSS, some of those were genuinely horrible, and their remix of Lance's battle theme was just downright poor. It looked so damn fast and was extremely repetitive, and it didn't need to be if they'd just done it well.

An orchestrated soundtrack. It must have violin and brass usage. No reed instruments. Maybe a little electric guitar on the low end.

You monster.

Lance's theme from HG/SS is my favourite song in Pokemon so I don't know what's wrong with you.
